Bates Boots new Insulated Tactical GX-8 Waterproof Police Boot

Bates has added an insulated boot to their GX-8 tactical boot series. The 2488 GX-8 boot features the same great Gore-tex waterproof breathable barrier, memory foam comfort system, nylon shank for support and quality side zipper as their 2268 non-insulated boot. Bates used just the right amount of thinsulate insulation to keep you warm while you're outside without getting overheated you once you get into your car or ambulance. These boots are black and look good with your police, EMS or security uniform. We've been very happy with the Bates GX-8 so I'm sure you'll be pleased with the Bates GX-8 insulated! Check on over to our favorite new uniform boot store, Harry's Army Surplus, to pick up a pair of these boots today.

Bates Delta ICS series tactical Uniform Boots

fEven when I've worn the Bates Delta 8 style 2368 for 12 hour stretches these duty boots have kept me very comfortable. The Bates 2368 uses a very thick insole to absorb shock and provide more than adequate cushion. They use Gore-tex to stay waterproof and breathable. This feature makes them beneficial to a person who is an EMT or any Police officer working in conditions that require protection from the elements. As far as uniform footwear goes, these Delta series Bates boots rank very highly. The soles are oil resistant and slip resistant. The Bates Delta series that includes the 2368 (Delta-8 8-inch) and the 2366 (Delta-6 6 inch), use a high quality zipper. This is very important as the zipper can be a real stress point on a duty boot. Given that they are non-metallic, I've had no problems going through metal detectors at security checkpoints. I anticipate that these boots will prove to be very durable considering that they're made of a combination of real leather and ballistic nylon. Bates is a very high quality brand and has been making military boots for the American military for decades. The comfort system on the Bates Delta boots is quite unique. It's called Individual Comfort System (ICS). On the underside of the insole sits a dial. Two of the positions on the ICS dial are dedicated to compensating for pronation and supination (walking in and walking out). This can really make a difference for people who tend to wear their boots unevenly in that it will help to reduce ankle, knee and back pain and by reducing the overall stress to your body could help to mediate some of the negative cumulative effects that work can have on you later in life. The other two settings help to alternate between comfort and support. This choice would be a personal preference. The fit on these boots is pretty true to size. The medium width is like a regular D width while the wides run like an EE. I recommend these boots to police, EMT, Security and firefighters alike. Take a look at the youtube video about these boots here
The Bates Delta series come in these options:

Women's Delta 6 inch Side zip: E02746 / 2746
Women's Delta 8 inch Side zip: E02748 / 2748
Men's Delta 6 inch Side zip: E02346 / 2346
Men's Delta 8 inch Side zip: E02348 / 2348
Men's Delta 6 inch Waterproof Gore-tex Side zip: E02366 / 2366
Men's Delta 8 inch Waterproof Gore-tex Side zip: E02368 / 2368

Your next favorite tactical boot

I'm really impressed with the Bates CT 2298 waterproof tactical boot. This boot is made of full grain leather and has the Bates Durashock system. The Durashock system is found in many of the Wolverine work boots. As bates is a brand manufactured by Wolverine World Wide, the company was able to test this comfort system in a wide variety of boots. The Bates ct (2298 and 2299) series come in a tall 8 inch boot as well as a shorter 5 inch boot. Both come with very sturdy YKK zippers.

Rather than using regular Gore-tex, Bates used Crosstech to provide breathable waterproofing while maintaining resistance to blood borne pathogens like HIV. This seems like a no brainer for anyone working with the public.

These boots have a shank for support and very aggressive outsoles that rate pretty well on the James slip resistance scale. On top of all of that, they come with a money back guarantee on the comfort. These boots can be found on policefeet.com policefeet.com at a very low price with free shipping...2 ways in case you get the wrong size at first. I buy lots of my department's boots at policefeet.com because they usually ship the next day and provide excellent service.
Thanks

Tactical trouser that beats the 5.11 pant at Policefeet.com

Policefeet.com has just received the new Propper lightweight tactical trousers. These are even better than the 5.11 pant that a lot of police officers, security personnel and FBI agents wear. in addition to the features that the 5.11 pant offers, these are coated with teflon for protection from blood and other potential stains. Water just beads right off of them. The propper tactical trouser is made of polyester / cotton blend ripstop for fade resistant durability. In sum, $10 less than the 5.11 pant with more features. Also, propper is a manufacturer for the U.S. military. They have the tactical pants in Navy Blue and Black. Check them out

Bates M-9 Men's Tan Desert Assault Tactical Boots 2450 Review

I have been wearing the Bates Boots: M-9 Men's Tan Desert Assault Tactical Boots 2450 for about a month now. I decided to try them out for the spring and summer. These Bates desert boots are designed for hot weather climates and constant movement. The boots are durable and kept my feet cool. Bates used a combination of leather and nylon to insure the comfort, quality, and breathability of these tactical boots. Bates has added a thin layer of thinsulate brand insulation to these desert boots so that the wearer can be comfortable in changing temperatures but at the same time not overheat. The 2450 M-9 tactical boots are equipped with a molded vibram sole that provides both comfort and long wear.
The really unique feature about these assault boots is the moisture wicking liner inside of the boot. No matter how breathable your boots are you are always going to see some perspiration during continues movement. The Bates moisture wicking liner helps to reduce and eliminate this perspiration by pulling it away from the foot. In my opinion these hot weather boots are good for anyone that is looking for a boot to get through the spring, summer, and fall months with the best degree of comfort. Though these are military tactical boots they are a good addition to anyone's boot lineup.

User Review of Magnum Stealth 8 inch Composite Toe-Side Zip 5310 EMT Boot

I ordered the Magnum 5310 Safety toe boot (at http://www.policefeet.com ) because I needed something that was light and comfortable. I first began looking at this boot because I like the way that it looked to be honest, the magnum boots have a clean shine as well as a zipper for easy removal at the end of the day. I went with the safety toe version because I have always worn safety toe. I never seem to know when it might be required in my day to day. The best thing about the Magnum boot is the comfort. The boot is light weight and has a nylon shank in it to add extra support. I found that this boot also has really good traction and ankle support. My wife is a fan of the moisture wicking and antimicrobial linings.

She said that she can notice that my feet, socks, and shoes don't smell at the end of the day. I'm considering taking these boots hunting so that the deer can't smell me coming. I would recommend the Magnum 5310 Safety toe boot (at http://www.policefeet.com ) as a work boot or a day to day boot. These would make not only really great police boots but I'd really recommend them as EMT boots and (if you guys can still get away with black) military boots as well.

User Review of Timberland Pro Valor: Valley Forge 94586 Police Boot

Timberland Pro Valor boots have really impressed me. I actually bought this tactical boot as a winter boot but found that I can wear it nearly all year long. I'm a police officer and I needed something that had some insulation but not so much that it weighted my foot down or made my feet sweat really bad. I walk a lot so my feet stay warm but sometimes I have to stand for long periods of time. I found that this boot has zone insulation so that it keeps the important parts of my feet warm such as the toes.

The boot is also Gore-Tex so it is also waterproof which is really important especially in the snow. I found that if I paired the boot with a wool sock with a moisture wicking liner that my feet stayed dry and warm on the days that I really need it. The Valley Forge has a small insert on the insole that you can remove to make the shoe to make it wider so that when it is time for the thicker sock you have more room.

I also especially liked the fact that the boot was all leather. I know that the boot will last me along time because it is all leather and will stand up to all that salt better. I like this boot and I am going to be buying the Timberland Bluehawk / Warhawk 94587 (at http://www.policefeet.com ) for the summer months so that I can have something more airy and light. I really liked this boot and the Timberland line and I would really recommend this boot to anyone that wants a warm reliable boot. Also the free flashlight was also a bonus because it gave me a spare to keep in my patrol car.

User Review of Bates 2280 Enforcer Tactical / Police boot

I bought the Bates ultralite enforcer 2280 (at http://www.policefeet.com ) tactical boot because I needed something that was good quality but at the same time inexpensive. I got hired as a security guard and I was required to have black shoes. I noticed that a lot of the guys were wearing inexpensive dress shoes but were always complaining that their feet hurting. So I decided to shop around and see what was out there. I came across these shoes and this site.

They were black, tall, and water resistant. I couldn't beat the price so I decided to order them. These boots were awesome for the price and I think that these will be something that I stick with for awhile. I even printed out the ad from this site and took it into my new job because the guys there wanted to look into buying their own. These boots come up to size 15 and they and in wides so there was no one at my work that had an excuse not to try them. If you want all the comfort and reliability that Bates has to offer at a good price I would highly recommend these boots.

User Review of Timberland Bluehawk 94587 Gore-tex boot

I bought the Timberland Pro Valor Bluehawk 8 (at http://www.policefeet.com ) just in March. So far these are by far the best boots that I have ever owned. I'm an EMT and I have to be quick on my feet and this means that my feet need to be not hurting. I'm always shopping for wide and waterproof shoes. To say the least I'm a big guy and I have wide feet. I have to go all over the world just to find some boots that are wide. I usually have to order them and then find when they get here that they aren't anything like I expected. However this time I ordered the perfect boot. The boots came and I reached in the shoe like I usually do to take out the insole and put in my own thin one so that I could create more room but I found that the insole in the shoe had it's own system. There was this black rubber thing that can come off the insole that would change the shoe to a half size bigger, wider, or even a separate one to make it narrow. I was originally skeptical of this..I mean how can that little piece make a difference? I don't know how it did but it did! My wide feet are comfortable and happy with almost no break in period. I found that the leather of the shoe was tough but soft and flexible for my foot rather then hard. The shoe was also waterproof. It has a Gore-Tex liner in it that keep my feet dry but at the same time lets my feet breath.

This shoes will definitely last my through the spring, summer, and fall. My by far favorite thing about these shoes is the vibrum brand soles. The shoe has a rock to them so it take minimal effort to walk quickly as well as run. The shoes are super light so they don't weight you down or make you tired. I would recommend this shoe for anyone that is looking for a light, comfortable shoe and especially for those guys with the wide feet. Also, If you want to find some more information about timberland pro valor, I found http://www.TimberlandProValor.com very useful.

User Review of Bates GX-4 2766 duty boot

I recently purchased the Bates GX tactical boot (at www.policefeet.com ) -4 for women. I started looking at the men's version and was delighted to learn that they are made for both men and women, and in my size! The boot is a short four inch boot which is really great for me because I find that higher boots often rub on my legs and I didn't want to go through that again. It can be difficult to find good boots when your a size 6 that are made for actual work. I'm a mail carrier in Michigan and I walk for hours a day. I deal with rain, sleet, and snow on a daily basis. I really needed something that was completely waterproof and comfortable and that's why I initially considered police boots as an option. I usually put an insole into my boots but I decided to try the boot out before I changed the insole. I noticed that the insole was plenty thick and comfortable. I really liked the quality of the Bates boot as well as how it looks. The leather was thick, durable, and formed around my foot just after a week. Also they are just as waterproof as I needed them to be. They have this waterproof liner that is actually inside of the boot and I no longer have to spray the boots with a treatment because water can't even get to my foot in the first place. I would really suggest this boot for anyone that has to walk a lot. I already told my two best friends about them and one is a waitress and one is a EMT.

Bates Boots CT Tactical series Review

One of my colleagues had this to say about the Bates Durashocks CT-8 Boot:

I've been wearing the Bates CT-8 style 2298 for several months now. Even when I've worn them for 12 hour stretches these duty boots have kept me very comfortable. The Bates 2298 uses a durashocks comfort technology to absorb shock and provide more than adequate cushion. They use Gore-tex crosstech to stay waterproof, breathable and resistant to blood borne pathogens like HIV. This feature makes them beneficial to a person who is an EMT or any Police officer working in conditions that require this high level of protection. The Crosstech also adds chemical resistance. As far as uniform footwear goes, these boots rank very highly. The soles are oil resistant and slip resistant. The Bates CT series that includes the 2298 (CT-8 8-inch) and the 2299 (CT-6 6 inch), use a high quality YKK zipper. This is very important as the zipper can be a real stress point on a duty boot. Given that they are non-metallic, I've had no problems going through metal detectors at security checkpoints. I anticipate that these boots will prove to be very durable considering that they're made of a combination of real leather and ballistic nylon. Bates is a very high quality brand and has been making military boots for the US government for decades. Also, because these boots have the Durashocks comfort system, they come with a 30 day money back comfort guarantee. I hope this review will help you to make your decision. I can recommend these boots to police, EMT, Security and firefighters alike.

Great Site for information on Timberland Pro Valor Duty footwear

I found a great site to learb about the fit and comfort of the Timberland Pro Valor line of public safety footwear. It's new from Timberland is very distinct from their regular outdoor or fashionable shoes. These really seem to be designed with police and EMT folks in mind.
